DESCRIPTION:
0.9% Sodium Chloride, commonly known as Normal Saline, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic intravenous solution containing sodium and chloride ions in a concentration similar to that of body fluids. It is used to restore fluid volume, maintain electrolyte balance, and serve as a vehicle for IV medications. The solution is supplied in a single-dose IV container for medical use.

USES:

• For fluid replacement and hydration
• Treatment of dehydration and hypovolemia
• Electrolyte replenishment
• Used during and after surgery
• Diluent and carrier for intravenous medications
• Irrigation and flushing of IV lines and wounds (as directed)
