Metronidazole AMBIDAZOL 125mg/5ml Syrup 60mL

DOSAGE AND MODE / ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: 4050 mg/kg/ body weight 3-4 times daily for 5 to 7 days or as prescribed by the physician. Administered orally (by mouth).

CAUTION: Foods, Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics Act prohibits dispensing without prescription.

INDICATIONS: For of the treatment asymptomatic and symptomatic trichomoniasis, infections due to susceptible anaerobic bacteria, intestinal and hepatic amoebiasis, giardiasis (Giardia Intestinalis).

PRECAUTION: Patients should be monitored for neurological signs; candida over growth may occur; interacts with alcohol and warfarin. As much as possible, its use should be avoided during pregnancy.

WARNING: Metronidazole has been shown to be carcinogenic in mice and possibly carcinogenic in rats. Unnecessary use of the drug should therefore be avoided.
