Meropenem MYRRONEM 500mg Powder for Injection (I.V) 1 vial
FORMULATION: Each vial contains: Meropenem trihydrate equivalent to 500g anhydrous meropenem.
DIRECTION FOR RECONSTITUTION: Freshly prepared solutions of meropenem for injection should be used. However, reconstituted solutions of meropenem for injection maintain satisfactory potency under the conditions described below. Solutions of intravenous meropenem for injection should not be frozen. Intravenous Injection: Reconstitute Meropenem for Injection vial with 10ml. Sterile Water for Injection to a final concentration of 50 mg/ml. Shake to dissolve and let stand until clear. Reconstituted solution should be used immediately after preparation. The reconstituted solution may be stored for 3 hours at up to 25°C or for 12 hours at 2-8°C.
Intravenous infusion: The Solution for Infusion (Meropenem concentrations ranging from 1mg/ml to 20mg/mL) is prepared by dissolving the drug product Meropenem in either 0.9% sodium chloride solution for infusion or 5% glucose (dextrose) solution for infusion. Reconstituted with 0.9% sodium chloride solution for infusion may be stored for 3 hour at up to 25°C or 24 hours at 2-8°C.
Reconstituted solution in Dextrose Solution for Infusion 5% should be used immediately. Alternatively, Meropenem for Injection may be directly reconstituted with a compatible infusion solution.
