Diphenhydramine HISTAZYN 12.5mg/5ml/60ml Syrup 6OmL
FORMULATION: Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) contains: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride, USP 12.5 mg
INDICATIONS: It is used for the symptomatic relief of allergic conditions including urticaria and angioedema, rhinitis and conjunctivitis, and in pruritic skin disorders. It is also used for its antiemetic properties in the treatment of nausea and vomiting particularly in the prevention and treatment of motion sickness (when it should be given at least 30 minutes before travelling), and in the treatment of vertigo of various causes.
DOSAGE AND MODE OF ADMINISTRATION: Children: 6.25 mg to 25 mg three to four times a day or 5 mg per kg body-weight in divided doses. Adults: 25 mg to 50 mg three to four times a day. Or as prescribed by the physician.
PRECAUTIONS: Patients receiving Diphenhydramine hydrochloride should refrain from work that requires mental alertness such as driving vehicles where loss of attention may lead to accidents.
