FORMULATION Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) adult suspension contains: Carbocisteine 500 mg

INDICATIONS Carbocisteine is a mucolytic agent used to relieve cough characterized by excessive or sticky sputum or phlegm to help treat respiratory tract disorders such as acute bronchitis. Carbocisteine also reduces the number of exacerbations associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and inhibits the adherance of bacteria and virus to human respiratory cells. Carbocisteine is also used in the treatment of otitis media with effusion (glue ear).

DOSE AND ADMINISTRATION Adults and Children over 12 years: Orally, 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) every 8 hours, or, as recommended by a doctor.

CONTRAINDICATIONS If you are allergic to carbocisteine or other ingredients in the product. If you have active stomach or intestinal ulcer.
