Amoxicillin AXMEL 100mg/mL Powder for Suspension Oral Drops 10mL ANTIBACTERIAL

FORMULATION: Each ml. of reconstituted suspension contains: Amoxicillin (as trihydrate), USP 100 mg FD & C Yellow No. 5…10 mcg

DOSAGE AND MODE OF ADMINISTRATION: Infants less than 6kg body weight: 0.5 mL 6-8 kg body weight: 1 ml to be given every 8 hours or as prescribed by the physician.

DIRECTION FOR RECONSTITUTION: To make 10 mL, add 7 mL of water and shake well until the contents are completely suspended. The reconstituted suspension is stable in 14 days under refrigeration (2-8°C) and 7 days at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.

INDICATIONS: For the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms.

CONTRAINDICATION: Contraindicated in patients known to be sensitive to penicillin. It should be used with caution in patients with history of allergy to Penicillin V.
