FORMULATION Each capsule contains: Clindamycin (as hydrochloride), USP 300 mg

INDICATION Female genital & pelvic infections including endometritis, non-gonococcal tubo-ovarian abscess, pelvic cellulitis & post-surgical vaginal cuff infections Intra-abdominal infections including peritonitis & abscesses, liver abscesses Septicemia Respiratory tract infections including emphysema, anaerobic pneumonitis & lung abscess Skin and soft-tissue infections Staphylococcal bone infections Prophylaxis of endocarditis in penicillin-allergic patients Prophylaxis of surgical infections in combination with other agents

CONTRAINDICATION Hypersensitivity to Clindamycin and/or Lincomycin Pregnant and lactating mothers

ADVERSE REACTION Abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting. Pseudomembranous colitis Hypersensitivity, agranulocytosis, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia and rarely. Stevens-Johnson-like syndrome occur.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Usual Dose 150 mg to 300 mg every 6 hours Severe Infections: 450 mg every 6 hours Children: 3 mg to 6 mg per kg body weight every 6 hours Infants below one year old or weighing 10 kg or less: 37.5 mg every 8 hours
