Philvasc Amlodipine 5mg is used to relax blood vessels, which helps lower high blood pressure, improve blood flow, and reduce the heart’s workload. This also enhances oxygen supply to the heart, preventing chest pain related to heart conditions.
This medication is also prescribed for treating specific types of chest pain, including Prinzmetal’s angina, a rare form that occurs during rest.

The typical starting dose of Amlodipine is 5 mg once daily, which may be increased to 10 mg once daily. It can be taken with or without food at the same time daily with water, but avoid grapefruit juice.Children (6-17 years):
The starting dose is 2.5 mg daily, up to a maximum of 5 mg daily. Amlodipine 2.5 mg tablets are not available, and splitting 5 mg tablets is not recommended. Continuously take the medication and consult your doctor before completing your prescription.Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage of this medication for you. They will also provide guidance on the duration of treatment based on your condition and how you respond to the medication.
