Description:

GENZIFEN contains tamoxifen citrate 20 mg, a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) classified as an antineoplastic (anti-cancer) agent.

Tamoxifen works by blocking the effects of estrogen in breast tissue. Since some breast cancers grow in response to estrogen, this medicine helps slow or stop the growth of cancer cells.

It is a Prescription (Rx) only medication.

Uses:

• Treatment of estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer

• Adjuvant therapy after surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation to reduce cancer recurrence

• Treatment of metastatic (advanced) breast cancer

• Reduction of breast cancer risk in high-risk patients
