Description:
AMBIVIT K contains phytomenadione (Vitamin K₁), a fat-soluble vitamin essential for the normal formation of blood clotting factors in the liver. It is used as a hemostatic agent to help control or prevent bleeding caused by vitamin K deficiency or conditions that interfere with normal blood coagulation. This injectable formulation can be administered intramuscularly (IM), intravenously (IV), or subcutaneously (SC) under medical supervision.

Uses:
• Treatment of hypoprothrombinemia (low prothrombin levels) caused by Vitamin K deficiency
• Management of bleeding disorders related to anticoagulant therapy (such as warfarin overdose)
• Prevention and treatment of hemorrhagic disease of the newborn
• Control of bleeding associated with liver disease or malabsorption of Vitamin K
• Used in cases of excessive bleeding before or after surgery related to clotting factor deficiency
