Indications :Neostigmine is used in the treatment of myasthenia gravis and has been used as an alternative to edrophonium in the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis.It is used in anasthesia to reverse the neuromuscular blockers.It is also used in the management og paralytic ileus.Neostigmine has been used in the management of post-operative urinary retention but has generally been superseded by catherisation.
